Frequently Asked Questions

The Shop, Ordering, and Shipping

I’m interested in a print, but not in the size described. Can I order one in a different size?

Yes! I’m happy to make special orders. The price will vary based on the size. Please contact me about it via my website contact form.

You don’t have a product listing for an image I’m interested in. Can I order one anyway?

If there’s something you’re interested in but isn’t in the shop, feel free to contact me about it via my website contact form. Depending on the image/product, it may or may not be possible, but it doesn’t hurt to ask!

What happens if I order a product on backorder?

Backordering means I don’t have the item in stock, but I will order it in for you. In the case of a giclée or canvas print, this means it could take approximately 2-4 weeks.

Do you sell products wholesale or in stores?

If you are a store looking to carry some of my products, please contact me via my website contact form—I’d love to chat with you about it!

If I’m in the area, can I pick up my order for free instead of having it shipped?

Yes! If you are in the Duluth area and want to arrange free in-person pick-up, choose the option at check-out. I’ll be in contact with you for further arrangements on where/when to meet upon order completion. If you’re not sure if you’re close enough, please contact me, and we’ll talk!

What are your shipping policies?

All products ship from Duluth, Minnesota, and are fully insured. Most items will ship via USPS, with an expected 2-6 days delivery time after the item has shipped. If you have a preference for a different shipping provider, contact me, and we may be able to arrange it. Additional costs may apply.

Originals may ship rolled in a tube or flat in a box, at our discretion. Tubes are safest for shipping large artwork. Though rolled, they will flatten out upon removal. If you have a preference for how your art is shipped, please contact me. Additional costs may apply.

Do you ship internationally?

We’re working on it! Currently the website isn’t configured for international shipping, but if you contact me directly, we can probably work something out!

What does the NWS beside Chris’s signature mean?

NWS is the acronym for the National Watercolor Society, which is one of the oldest non-profit artist-led societies in the United States. Their annual NWS International Open Exhibition stands as the premier global event celebrating the latest innovations in watermedia art. This prestigious event invites both emerging and established artists from around the world to present their most inventive and original work.

Signature Members are entitled to to use the NWS initials after their name. In the art world, this is similar to MBA, PhD, etc. Artists qualifying for Signature membership in the NWS are selected from entries in the Annual International Open Exhibition. Artists whose work meets the qualifications of this Jury will be invited to become Signature Members of the Society.
