Are you interested in a personal piece?
Then I am, too!
Do you have reference material for your piece?
- Please provide your preferred photos of the subject matter.
If I’m able to photograph the subject matter, it would be an additional fee, whether or not we move forward with the piece. - We will hold a dialogue as to best reference choices.
How much will your custom painting cost?
Pricing will depend on the piece.
- Size, amount of detail, and type of subject matter, will all contribute to
the price. - The bigger the size, the longer it takes.
The greater the detail, the longer it takes. - As to the subject matter, for instance, a cabin, a person or a pet, I take great pains ensure that you will have the image of YOUR cabin, person or pet in each custom painting.
- Examples for base price for custom pieces:
- 8 x 10 $ 300
- 11 x14 $ 450
- 18 x 24 $ 750
Will there be a down payment?
Why, yes, now that you ask.
- 25% down – will not be refundable for a finished rejected painting.
- Once the image is painted, we will have a discussion on potential edits.
- When approved by the client, I will request full payment, including S&H if required, before delivery.
What else should you know?
- The piece delivered will be unmatted, unframed.
- I like to interact with my clients to make sure they receive what they are hoping for, and that I am able to get what I need to fulfill that hope.
- If my work was movie rated, I would receive a G or PG rating, safe for all-age-viewing.
We have worked with the artist twice on commissioned pieces. Both works are incredibly special! Chris has a wonderful talent for capturing nature so beautifully, which creates timeless and classic pieces of art. Our final commissioned work from Chris Dillon was ordered as a gift and included my father and brother walking in-step at the golf course together. This commission combined nature and people and came out amazing – a great piece of art capturing a lovely moment to remember. We highly recommend working with Chris Dillon!

We received a commissioned wedding painting by Chris as a gift, and it is absolutely breathtaking. The piece is often mistaken for a photograph and viewers are astounded (complete with a jaw drop and widened eyes) when they realize it’s a painting! Chris takes realism to a new level, creating something that’s more stunning, vibrant, and “alive” than an original photo. I have seen many of her pieces and have yet to see one that does not inspire awe. She is truly talented and you won’t be able to help feeling amazed!

My pack, Duncan, Bella Clare, and Rico (+ Zeus), are the four that I call upon to help me navigate trying times in my life. Chris captured each of their faces so brilliantly, and when I speak to my pack, I feel connected to them. They know me all too well and understand I am not perfect and at times I need help to navigate through a challenging time. Thanks to Chris, I can look them in the eye and feel their presence via her paintings.
